Zabava Gift Basket Raffle!
The gift basket raffle at our annual Winter Ball/Zabava is an important fundraiser for our Ukrainian School every year. Please buy raffle tickets and support our school! You can win even if you're not present at the Winter Ball - we'll just bring your winning basket to school the following Saturday!
Tickets are $5 each, or 5 tickets for $20, or 15 tickets for $50, or 35 tickets for $100
Baskets will be on display in the cafeteria on Feb. 11 - come by and purchase some tickets!

BANDURYSTY
Our school received a visit from virtuoso bandurysty Larisa Pastukhiv-Martin and Roman Hnatyshyn on Dec. 3. Students learned about the history of the bandura, kobzari, and female bandura players, saw some beautiful banduras, and listened to some lovely bandura music!

We are saddened to inform our School community of the passing of Mr. Theodore Caryk on Sunday, September 4th. Mr. Caryk was the beloved and widely respected director of our Ukrainian School for many years. We express our heartfelt condolences to the Caryk family, and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Caryk's memory to the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee - www.uuarc.org
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 12 at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 1 1800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904,
from 5:00-6:30 pm, followed by a memorial service/parastas at 6:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 13
at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2401 Eastern Ave., Baltimore, MD 21224.
