OUR SCHOOL HELPING UKRAINE

2022-2023: #StandWithUkraine

Picture
We work closely with St. Andrew's UOC to collect funds and medical supplies for Ukraine. Through the years we have developed a complete trust in them to handle shipping of supplies to Ukraine, as well as delivering to those who need help. You can donate on our own donation page with a note "Ukraine" or directly to St. Andrew's humanitarian relief efforts here: www.standrewuoc.org/

Thank you, Norman's Farm Market for teaming up with us in Spring 2022 and providing 10% of your sales to humanitarian support of Ukraine!

Please check them out and find locations of the farm stands at: normansfarmmarket.com

Humanitarian Assistance

Since March of 2022, Holy Trinity Ukrainian Church was focused on fundraising money “To SAVE UKRAINE and SAVE the WORLD!”
Our mission is to help with armored vehicles to deliver injured Ukrainians to the hospitals in Ukraine: as well as helping with the roofs over the damaged houses in Irpin’. With these goals, we have fundraised so far $14,500 with the Holy Trinity Church Community plus $5,300 with Olenka School of Music Community. Since the need in vehicles in Ukraine is growing very rapidly, we hope to raise money for at least 5 additional vehicles with the delicious Ukrainian homemade food!

This Thanksgiving and Christmas season Give a Gift of Love with delicious Ukrainian food to your friends, neighbors, relatives!

Humanitarian Assistance continues to be collected at school weekly. The list of items we are collecting has changed, based on feedback from Ukraine on what is needed. Supplies to "stop the bleed," especially the CAT-7 tourniquets, are undoubtedly in the most demand. Please see Tanya Murza's Amazon wish list for all of the items we are now collecting. (You certainly don't need to buy from here, it's just a concise way of getting the list to you.)

We will again be collecting and packing supplies outside or in the main alcove (in cse of rain), but please only bring items that are being requested (including, of course, items purchased from the prior list if you already have them). Some of you have asked about donations for Ukrainian refugees. At this point in time, neither the school nor St. Andrew UOC can accept donations of goods for refugees because they are not being sent overseas. Please do not bring donations for refugees to school to drop off. If the situation changes, we will absolutely let you kn
ow.

Postcards to support Azov Defenders.

One of our families is working with Kateryna Prokopenko, wife of Azov Battalion leader Denys Prokopenko, to raise funds for returned POW Azov defenders. Kateryna, an illustrator, has created a series of Azov/Mariupol-themed postcards (see images below) that she is selling to raise these funds. Postcards are $10 each. Please see Olha Chebanenko at school if you are interested. Here's a message from Olha. You can also read her post on Facebook.
